Heartware Protocol: Systems of a Loop
A system of feeling caught in a loop of data, debris, and return.
Fragments of envelopes, receipts, packaging, and drawings form the foundation of these post-digital composites. Each work emerges through a process of recombination—paper, print, and residue negotiating their own hierarchies.
The series explores the intersection of emotional memory and procedural logic. Each collage becomes a soft system: part confession, part code, a structure that feels its own malfunction.
Heartware Protocol: Systems of a Loop translates the psychological into the procedural. These works operate like emotional firmware—feeling processed through syntax, affection rewritten as signal.
Each fragment behaves as both archive and residue: an analog trace entangled with digital logic. The act of assembly becomes an act of repair, where errors and overlaps form a quiet architecture of care.
In these compositions, the material and the immaterial coexist. Data becomes tactile, and paper behaves like memory—creased, layered, and reformatted through touch.

001 – Heartware Protocol: Dean St Loop
Part of Heartware Protocol: Systems of a Loop, this collage combines a restaurant receipt, a quick line drawing, and fragments of color-blocked paper. The notepad functions like a log of passing time—an incidental archive. Marker bands recall scanner interference, while the drawing operates as a soft code of gesture and recollection.

002 – Heartware Protocol: Polka Loop
Composed from layered paper fragments and drawings, this collage merges dotted patterning with hand-drawn figuration. The polka fields mimic data arrays—loops of visual rhythm translating touch into repetition. Each mark acts as an emotional signal, suspended between ornament and syntax.

003 – Heartware Protocol: Da Vinci Loop
Constructed from reused brush packaging and a linear portrait, this collage reinterprets branding as emotional architecture. The printed graphics meet hand-drawn intervention, blurring authorship between product and psyche. Language and logo become the circuitry through which intimacy travels.
Title: Heartware Protocol: Bloom Variant

004 – Heartware Protocol: Bloom Variant
A carbon-paper transfer of a botanical drawing overlays a field of watercolor stain and residual pigment. Mirrored initials, inscribed in reversal, form a quiet code between two identities. The composition moves between organic form and digital restraint—a fragile exchange where material touch becomes data.

005 – Heartware Protocol: Vulgar Loop. this collage brings together a fireproof cooking glove, hand-drawn sketches, and handwritten notes. The silver glove operates as both shield and relic—an object of domestic labor and emotional defense. Phrases like “We live in an advanced capitalist society” and “Gentle feelings / Read me / Vulgarist” expose the absurdity of self-expression under pressure. Humor and critique fold into one another, transforming heat and protection into emotional code.

006 – Heartware Protocol: Loop Index.
This collage layers a graphite line drawing over a looped strip of black fabric and a coiled base of pressed material. The elements form a closed system—an index of containment and gesture. The loop behaves as both boundary and signal, encircling the figure like a protective error. The work suggests a quiet feedback between drawing and object, where containment becomes an act of care.
